Spock did not fully support the native Kirk's position but she could find little logical reason to object to it. That she still desired to was...discomfiting.

The door to her temporary quarters parted and Spock entered first. She momentarily relished the absolute placement of everything. The chair in the corner, the desk and it's perfect alignment to the wall--there was a 2.4 degree convex bow to the shape of the bulkhead, but such errors were structural in capacity and thus beyond her ability to correct.

Her eyes fell on the temporary bed that had been allocated them. It was slightly askew of the starboard-aft corner. It had usurped her meditative space.

It was of no consequence, Spock reminded herself, meditation could occur anywhere.

Spock stepped aside, clearing the threshold, and permitted T'Vau entry.

It would be illogical to lie.

"I find it enjoyable," Spock agreed. There was a second seat allocated to these quarters. She took it, sat, and unconsciously marked it as her own.

"There are boards provided in the open recreational area."

"Recreation area?"

T'Vau was intrigued. The Smith had a single common area that served as both mess and recreation room. Its single chessboard was T'Vau's own.

Perhaps one of the boards here would have a full complement of pieces.

Spock was regarding her drink with an indefinable expression. T'Vau hesitated only briefly before offering it to her.

"Would you enjoy a taste?"

She could always replicate more.

"I am...sufficient," Spock replied slowly.

"There are several recreational areas, the one to which I am referring is specifically for gaming and activities that generate a considerable amount of noise," Spock clarified. "I understand it is never closed."

"How extraordinary," said T'Vau. "I shall inform you if I wish to visit it."

The tuna fish dripped on the table.

Perhaps she should have used a plate.

"There is no need, you may come and go as you see fit," Spock replied and kept her eyes from following the dripping of replicated meat product. Perhaps a change in subject.

"The far closet possesses two chambers," Spock stated abruptly. "I require little space, the remainder is your own."

Did Spock not wish to engage in a chess match with her? Her previous statements had seemed to imply it, but perhaps T'Vau had misinterpreted her. She already had ample evidence that the other Vulcan's logic was occasionally...creative.

She acknowledged Spock's statement with a nod, somewhat disappointed at the implication that Spock did not have an extensive wardrobe from which to loan T'Vau clothing. T'Vau only had one outfit. And there was tuna fish on it.

"Understood." She paused. Thanks were illogical, but acknowledgement of Spock's offer was only polite. "I appreciate your willingness to...accommodate my presence, Grace."

Spock was silent for several seconds. Though she did not overtly object to the use of an alternate designation, this had neither been establish nor...was it accurate. Spock blinked.

She could argue the title, but given the general trend of her conversations with T'Vau, it would likely exacerbate the situation.

"It is a non-issue," Spock replied. It was true, there was no option concerning her willingness. It merely was. "Is there anything further you require?"

"There is not."

The computer responded appropriately to her commands, and she would not be sleeping on a garden bench tonight.

T'Vau was quite content.
